High Fives

Use to acknowledge positive progress/achievements of students. High Fives almost always include an email to the student with the comments of the person who is giving the High Five.  May be raised as part of progress surveys or on a individual basis to recognize positive achievements or milestones by students.  High Fives will be cleared administratively at the end of each term.

High Five  Thank you for Visiting .....

Some campus services*  use a Thank you for Visiting High Five. This may be used by peer tutors or staff members after a student visits related campus service.  A copy of the high five is sent to the student and they can view it on their dashboard in the HIVE. Many of the high fives are viewable by others in the students support network such Instructors, Varsity Coaches, Academic or Faculty Advisors and SAS. so they can see when their students are connecting with campus resources.

*Note - the Writing Center & XPD previously used a "Thanks for Visiting" message but they have instead adjusted the permissions to appointments with thier team so that instructors and members of the support network can view the meetings for their area instead.  Review the Meetings Tab in the student's record to view these sessions. You can also filter your class list to reivew students who have or have not had meetings using Advanced Filters on the My Students Channel in The HIVE.  Detailed directions on how to filter to see these meetings are avaialble here
