What is a Safety Data Sheet (SDS)?

A Safety Data Sheet (SDS) contains information on a chemical's hazards, such as: health, fire, reactivity, and environment. It also provides information on how to work safely with the product.  Get more information on Safety Data Sheets (SDS).

How do you read a Safety Data Sheet (SDS)?

The first 8 sections provide the general information for the chemical including: identification, hazards, composition, safe handling practices, and emergency control measures. Sections 9-11 and 16 all contain scientific information such as: reactivity, physical and chemical properties, stability and reactivity, toxicology, exposure control and when it was last revised.
