Lloyd Young is a senior from Bloomington, Minnesota. In addition to being a TA, he is a star on the cross country and track & field teams, earning All-American honors last fall in cross country. After graduation, Lloyd will be working with RSM in their tax department. Lloyd explained “I like accounting and finance because the majors offer a realistic approach to the inner workings of the world.”

Lauren Pfeffer is a senior from Maple Grove, Minnesota. In addition to being a TA, she is involved in Bennies in Business and Johnnie Bennie Fund. After graduation, Lauren plans on working at Deloitte as an Audit Assistant. Lauren likes accounting and finance because she has “always really enjoyed math and solving problems with numbers. I love the ACFN department here at CSB+SJU because everyone within the department is so nice and welcoming and everyone is there to help each other.”

Sydney Rohrer is a senior from Woodbury, Minnesota. Outside of being a TA, she is involved in the Marketing Club, Alpha Kappa Sigma Service Sorority, and is also an avid trivia goer. After graduation she will be joining Deloitte as an Audit Assistant. She stated “I like accounting and finance because I like working with numbers and solving problems. I love the ACFN department because I love working with students, and all the profs are awesome!”

Hayden Sanders is a junior from Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. He is a starting linebacker for the SJU football team. Why does Hayden like accounting and finance? “I enjoy accounting and finance because of the analytical approach that the profession requires. You gain the ability to find patterns and make sense of different situations with numbers, and I enjoy applying that skill set to other aspects of life as well.”

Maggie Rothstein is a senior from Chanhassen, Minnesota. On campus, she is involved in intramural volleyball but also enjoys taking walks around campus as well as reading and being outdoors. After graduation, she will be working as an Audit & Assurance Staff Assistant at Deloitte. Why does Maggie like accounting and finance? “I like accounting because I like working with both people and numbers and this way, I can get the best of both worlds!”

Cole Swisher is a senior from Plymouth, Minnesota. He enjoys playing intermural basketball as well as fishing and watching sports. After graduation, Cole plans to study for the CPA and work for EY Audit in the fall. Why does Cole like accounting and finance? “I enjoy learning and reading about business. I also like solving problems with numbers.”

Nate Loxtercamp is a senior from Melrose, Minnesota. In addition to being a star on the golf team (he is the defending conference champion)Nate is part of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and enjoys fishing and hunting. After graduation, he will be working at Schlenner Wenner & Co. He likes accounting and finance because of the “great connections and useful business/numbers skills.”

Cole Brown is a junior from Maple Grove, Minnesota. On campus, Cole helps out with the football team and enjoys going to the gym. Next summer, he will be interning at Grant Thornton. When asked why he likes accounting and finance, Cole said “there is an extremely high demand for jobs. If you are willing to put in the time to learn the content, it is a very secure path out of college. Also, I like how the professors here are willing to put in the time to help us outside of class.”
