Purpose of Upward Bound
The Upward Bound Program at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University seeks to:
- Provide students with the opportunity to develop the motivation, skills and belief in their ability to succeed in high school, and a post-secondary program.
- Assist students to value themselves and the diversity of people and cultures different from their own.
- Provide an environment that promotes the development of values and attitudes conducive to productive citizenship and lifelong learning
- Expose students to experiences that broaden their understanding of and appreciation for the fine arts.
- Offer the experiences of community living to promote an increased respect for people and property.
