Student Employee/Team of the Year
Each campus department or community service agency employing CSB/SJU students is invited to nominate an exceptional student employee or student employee team that contributes to the college/agency work environment in a special way.
Student Employee of the Year
Application Deadline
- Friday, February 17, 2023
Eligibility Requirements
- Undergraduate or graduate students employed through the student employment program.
- Student nominees will be evaluated on how they display leadership:
- Student employee motivates and inspires others through encouragement and by building trust
- Student employee strives to take the lead in workplace scenarios and are open to change/new ideas
- Student employee is passionate in the act of mentorship and training of fellow student employees
Nomination Information
- Write nomination letter (2 page maximum) that includes the following:
- Describe why you are submitting the student for recognition
- Outline your student employee's accomplishments as it pertains to leadership
- Closing statement
- Complete Student Employee of the Year Nomination Form and submit letter by clicking here
Award Information
- The Student Employee of the Year for each campus will be submitted for consideration in the Midwest Association of Student Employment Administrators, and National Student Employment Administrators Student Employee of the Year Program.
Student Team of the Year
Application Deadline
- Friday, February 17, 2023
Eligibility Requirements
- Undergraduate or graduate students employed through the student employment program.
- Team nominees will be evaluated on how well the team works collaboratively on a common project, service or goal. The selected team will need to exhibit synergy - where the team performs in a way that is greater than the sum of its parts.
Nomination Forms
- Write nomination letter up to 2 pages in length that describes the accomplishments of the team that you feel meet the qualifications of CSB/SJU student Team of the Year. Team nominations will be evaluated on how the team works collaboratively to achieve a common goal. The selected team will need to exhibit synergy - where the team performs in a way that is greater than the sum of its individual members. The nomination should be as comprehensive as possible to give your team the best chance to receive this award. Below are some suggested areas to include:
- The team's greatest strength
- The qualities that set the team apart from other teams.
- How the team has gone above the standard work expectations.
- The impact the team has had on your department, campus and community.
