Fall 2021 Production
Trial by Jury by Gilbert & Sullivan
Directed by David DeBlieck and Irina Stene
This year’s opera workshop production is a farcical one act opera by the prolific composer/lyricist duo from the late 19th century, Arthur Sullivan and W.S. Gilbert. The show centers around a ludicrous court case involving the breach of a marriage contact. The jilted bride and her bridesmaids plead their case while the philandering groom defends himself on the grounds of youthful, fickle love.
This year’s cast includes Danielle Anderson, Nathan Beal, Ethan Carson, Elizabeth Christman, Tanavia Gilbert, Mearan Girgen, Michael Kennedy, Abbie Kluiter, Clare Lamb, Luis Martinez Mejia, Olivia Schleper and Durran Thompson along with the dancing talents of Lizbet Martinez-Port, Jazmin Meza and Geonn Taylor.
Our live pit orchestra will be conducted by Dr Irina Stene and will feature the musical talents of Sophie Hazen, Erin Kammueller, Lily Simms and Marleigh Van Dellen.
