Advocates for Inclusive Mentoring

Advocates for Inclusive Mentoring (AIM) strives to strengthen CSB's historically underrepresented students' personal development and leadership through collaboration with various academic groups to help build community, a sense of belonging, and overall student success. Students from historically underrepresented backgrounds include students of color, first-generation college students, international students, and students from the LGBTQ+ and disabled communities.  We seek to create a sisterhood and a community where we nurture Bennies' talents while empowering them to maximize their education.

AIM provides a unique opportunity for first- and second-year Bennies who come from underrepresented backgrounds to connect with older student mentors who share their same identities. This program aims to inspire the racially marginalized women within the program to become local and global leaders by engaging in academic exploration, value-based leadership, and community building.  It is a chance for Bennies to participate in monthly group and one-on-one mentoring sessions for professional and personal development. This experience allows students from underrepresented backgrounds to join a Sisterhood of like-minded women looking to learn more about their identities on campus as well as topics relating to inclusion, equity, and feminism.
