Kelly Skalicky

Kelly Skalicky is the CEO and President of Stearns Bank, St. Cloud, MN.  She spent her career practicing law in Chicago and New York before dedicating herself to working in the banking industry. Kelly received her B.A. from the University of Minnesota and attained her J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law.  While still in law school, Kelly earned the honor of serving as law clerk to The Honorable Michael J. Davis. After practicing in the areas of business litigation, commercial law, Indian law and commercial transactions, she worked up through the ranks at Stearns Bank, serving as legal counsel and designated General Counsel in 2011 before being promoted to President in December 2017 and CEO in February 2019. She is leading the bank’s initiative to increase SBA lending and also advises lenders on legal matters and supervises special/problem assets.

Kelly has been President and on the Board of Directors for the Clara Foundation since 2004.  Named after her grandmother, it is the mission of the Clara Foundation to improve the lives of women and children, and help others struggling with mental health and addiction.

Kelly grew up in Albany, MN, and was named 1981 Minnesota Miss Basketball.  She finished her prep career with 2,704 points and was among the first generation of breakout stars in the state’s high school girls basketball ranks.  Kelly was inducted into the Minnesota High School Basketball Hall of Fame on March 26, 2019.

In her spare time, Kelly enjoys spending time with her daughter, Barrett Doss, and walking her dog and playing contract bridge. She is an enthusiastic member of the American Contract Bridge League.
