Digital Communications Graduate Assistant – Liturgical Press

Founded in 1926, Liturgical Press is the publishing house of Saint John’s Abbey, a Benedictine community located in Collegeville, Minnesota. The Digital Communication Graduate Assistant will assist with the creation and maintenance of digital marketing content for Liturgical Press and Give Us This Day. The qualified candidate will have an aptitude for digital communication and a desire to participate in current conversations in the church. Through various digital channels, the successful candidate will assist in building awareness of the mission of Liturgical Press books and Give Us This Day.

Function of the job:

The Digital Communication Graduate Assistant, reporting to the Marketing Director, will assist with the creation and maintenance of digital marketing content for Liturgical Press and Give Us This Day. The qualified candidate will have an aptitude for digital communication and a desire to participate in current conversations in the church. Through various digital channels, the successful candidate will assist in building awareness of the mission of Liturgical Press books and Give Us This Day.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains and assists in curation of social media accounts for Liturgical Press brands: drafting posts and creating and editing graphics and video content that best fit for each platform (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube) and authentically speak to our audience
  • Monitors social media comments and questions, seeking support as needed
  • Assists with selection and posting of content for the Give Us This Day blog
  • Assists with creating promotional emails for Liturgical Press brands following the digital marketing calendar
  • Works with marketing team to ensure digital campaigns support print promotions, maintaining a consistent look, feel, and time frame

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Course work or equivalent experience in digital communications
  • Knowledge of the Catholic faith
  • Basic knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram preferred
  • Familiarity with HubSpot or other digital communication platform a plus

Supervision:

The Digital Communications Graduate Assistant is supervised by the Marketing Director, Liturgical Press

Work schedule:

18-20 hours/week depending on course schedule. Wage: $15/hour
