Scanners

Both libraries have a flatbed scanner that send to csbsju.edu email addresses. Alcuin Library also has a book scanner, a Bookeye 4v3 Knowledge Imaging Center (KIC), designed for self-service book scanning. The scanner is also able to, edit and crop pages, convert text to an mp3 audio file. Scans and audio files can be emailed or copied to a stick drive via the USB port on the front of the scanner.

Other Spaces

The Maker Lab houses our 3D printers and is located in the Instructional Technology Labs @ Clemens wing of the Clemens Library. Appointments are needed to utilize this space and the machines.

The Innovation Lab also in the Instructional Technology Labs @ Clemens wing, is open the same hours as the library and houses technologies for student and faculty experimentation. We have VR, robotics, and arduinos with other technology being added as we consider them for classroom use. This space is bookable as a group study and has a large table and chairs in addition to the experimental technology.

Alcuin Library Learning Commons is the location of the Video Studio. Part of the Colman Barry Creativity Center, the Studio is a multimedia production facility available to students, faculty and staff for original video and audio creation in a controlled studio setting. This space needs to be booked in advance via the website.
