Student Loan Exit Counseling

Prior to graduating or leaving college, borrowers are required to complete an exit counseling session for Direct Loans. This online exit counseling session has been created to make sure that you understand your rights and responsibilities as a borrower.

This online exit counseling session will take approximately 30 minutes to complete.

Please note you will need the following information to complete exit counseling:

• FSA ID (as of May 2015, if you don't have one you can create one on the site)
• Personal Information (Address/Phone Number/E-mail)
• Employer Information (If Known)
• Name, Address, Phone Number of Three People (they must be living at a different address, and know how to contact you within the next three years in case your lenders are unable to locate you).
