The CSB Alumnae Board, on behalf of College of Saint Benedict, presents Reunion Awards to outstanding alumnae from reunion years whose daily lives reflect and honor the Benedictine tradition and mission of our alma mater. Nominations are accepted each year. For more information regarding the nomination process, please contact the Alumnae Relations Office.

Mary Kramer ’85

Mary Kramer ’85

Distinguished Alumna Award honors an alumna who has distinguished herself for outstanding achievements in her chosen profession and has made a lasting contribution in her field as a role model and leader for all alumnae.

Alumna Profile: Mary Kramer ’85  is an attorney, author of “The Immigration Consequences of Criminal Activity: A Guide to Representing Foreign-Born Defendants” (now in its 8th edition) and one of the nation’s leading voices on immigration law in a criminal context. From that perspective, Mary points out that, “We have to always, always remember that all human beings are equal and deserve justice.” Read more

Benedictine Service Award honors an alumna who has made a significant impact on those around her for her continued commitment and contributions to community service and social justice at a regional, national or international level. Also demonstrates a commitment to the Benedictine spirit of giving hospitality, love of others, listening and social stewardship.

Alumna Profile: As a social worker for the past 25 years, Carrie Crook ’95 learned that her presence is often enough. Whether she is delivering groceries to the isolated elderly or caring for abused and neglected children, she meets everyone with a smile and a sincerity rooted in Benedictine values. Read more

Decade Award honors an alumna who is recognized by her peers as a great role model and leader for younger alumnae because her outstanding career achievements, representing global consciousness and community involvement in her chosen profession.

Alumna Profile: When Angela Guentzel ’10 agreed to come back and work her family’s sixth-generation farm near Mankato, “I thought I would just get bored.” No time for that. Beyond the field, the shop, the office and her Mankato Valley Seed business, she’s taken leadership roles statewide: Minnesota Farm Bureau District II, Minnesota Corn Growers State Board, CommonGround, Greater Mankato Young Professionals (2019 Young Professional of the Year), FFA. … Read more

Kathy Kurvers Henderson ’85

Sister Emmanuel Renner Award honors an alumna for her service to the College of Saint Benedict and recognizes her contributions as a leader, steward and volunteer to her alma mater.

Alumna Profile: Kathy Kurvers Henderson ’85 is currently in her tenth and final year as a CSB Trustee and is collaborating with SJU Trustees on the Joint Strategic Visioning Committee. She is a frequent Reunion volunteer and hosts the CSB golf team each spring at her Arizona home. And last year she and her husband Jim pledged one of the largest alumnae gifts in the college’s history – more than $5 million. Read more


2022 Reunion Award Nominations

Reunion 2022 will be here in no time, and we want to honor the remarkable successes of alumnae from class years ending in 2 and 7. These Reunion Awards recognize women whose daily lives reflect and honor the Benedictine ideals and mission of CSB.

To be considered, nominees must be:

  • From a class year ending in "2" or "7"
  • A living College of Saint Benedict alumna
  • Nominated by someone other than herself
