 A Saint John’s Tradition: Many of you are already familiar with the Saint John’s Cross, an oak and brass
rendering of the signature cross of Saint John’s Abbey, University and Prep School. Designed by the late Br. Frank
Kacmarcik, Obl.S.B. and Mr. KC Marrin, the cross is handcrafted on campus at Saint John’s Abbey Woodworking
using red and white oak harvested from Saint John’s forest. Members of the monastic community, Benedictine
oblates, volunteers and CSB/SJU students spend many hours preparing these graduation crosses each year.

Personalize It: This handmade 10” X 12” cross makes a beautiful, commemorative graduation gift. To personalize
this gift and honor your graduate’s achievement, Abbey Woodworking will laser engrave the
graduate’s name, Saint John’s University, Class of 2024 or 
graduate’s name, Saint John’s School of Theology, 2024 
on the back of the cross you select at no additional cost.

This handmade, commemorative Saint John’s Cross is offered to you for $175.00
(plus tax and shipping, if applicable). 
We will supply the packaging and engraving at no cost to you—a $25 value.

You must reply soon! In order to be eligible for free laser engraving, we must receive your order no later than
April 30, 2024.
We will then prepare the cross and box it ready-for-wrapping. You have the option of picking up your cross graduation
week at the SJU Bookstore or having it shipped to you.

If you choose to wait:  For those who prefer to wait until graduation to make a decision, there will be a limited
amount of crosses available for purchase at the SJU Bookstore.   These crosses can be engraved for a fee of $25.00. 
Crosses not in stock can be special ordered.
